I have heard of them, I have even seen a picture of an "aquired" pied... but as of yet, I have not seen any *CONFIRMED* pied green cheeks. In regards to the "aquired pieds" - here's one speculation.Those feathers are not entirely clear, so I would not call them 'pied' feathers. This type of thing is very commonly an acquired change but never easy to identify the exact cause. Some have suggested an amino acid deficiency can cause 'clear windows' without melanin pigment in some feathers, particularly flights.

With that said though, it's possible that the mutation *DOES* exist, but it's still all in the "know how" and thus it may still be a while yet before this mutation even reaches the public.
