Kaytee Eco-Tour - Anyone know about it?

Postby greygirl on Wed Jan 28, 2009 2:08 pm

Kaytee & the Kaytee Avian Foundation is having an eco-tour in Brazil. I can't find it on their website (maybe I'm blind), but they have a number to call in their ad in Bird Talk magazine.

Anyone familiar with this? I always wanted to go on a trip like this. There is no other info like price, etc.. Just a phone number....

Susan, have you tried to find their web site? Or e-mail BirdTalk. There are eco-tours in a few places now. There is one that goes into Mexico as well.

If you want to do an Eco-Tour and some bird watching try this one:

http://www.pepeshideaway.com/activities.php

Pepe is an American and Former US Navy Corpsman retired and operates this very nice and reasonable resort. You don't need to stay right on the ocean but it can be arranged but the off ocean rates are the best. Check online for airfare there is always a deal to be had!

You can never be assured that you will actually "see birds" and the one advertised in Brazil is so expensive over 6,000 each plus airfare for the last one I checked into. That's why I went to Pepe's and did so much more! There is something for everyone, fishing, bird watching, mountain climbing, volcano's etc...

Two of us went for a week including airfare & meals from Detroit Michigan and cost us less than 3,000

Thanks. I figured it would be expensive, but hoping things will come down with the economy.

Thanks for the alternative Pepe link. I'm saving it to look into.
