Poop Off

Postby ZazuSally on Wed Jun 04, 2008 6:20 am

Has anybody tried this and what did you think of it?

Thanks

I have tried it, and for the most part liked it. I use it outside because the fragrance is a little strong for me, but if you spray it on and let it sit for several minutes, it will help everything come off so much easier.

I did not like the scrub brush version that they sell, I find I like my sponge better.

I buy it and use it. I didn't think the smell was strong, but my house is very open. I also didn't like the scrub brush version. I buy the gallon and put it in my own spray bottle - more economical that way.

Same here.....that scrub brush wastes it because too much comes out at a time-----I like to use it with my own scrubby. I depend on poop-off to clean the grates-----it does an awesome job! I never noticed the smell being too strong, but when I clean the grates I usually clean them in the kitchen over the garbage can or outside in summer----both are not near the birds, but still I didn't think the smell was much of an issue.

The reason I feel the scent is strong is the fact that I was living in an apartment at the time. Now that I have a house, I clean outside, big cages... The scent wasn't bad, but when you are sensitive to scent...

Poop Off is the bomb !!! I, too, do not like the scrub option. I use it in a spray bottle. Cleans up the hardest places in your birds home. Just spray it on - let it sit - and rinse. I love it !!!!

i did use it but i how use something alot cheaper . I take a spray bottle and put vinegar in it and another spray bottle and put peroxide in it and spray one and then the other. and let it sit for a min or 2 and then it wipes off good. it cost alot less. I have 18 cages to clean and the cost of poop off got to high to use every day on all my cages.

I really, really do not like the smell... to me it gets over powering when using much of it.

I use Avitech's AviClean. Cleans just as well and is virtually oderless. Avitech says it has a fresh minty smell but I've never detected that in it.

We've never used it. We use Simple Green, 1 part Simple Green to 32 parts water on the bird cages. We use it everywhere in our house because it's one of the safest cleaners to use. The ratio we use is reccomended by the company for birds. Spray it on, let it sit a few minutes, then rinse it off. We use that ratio for everyday cleaning around the house and after the birds go to bed use higher ratios if needed (they sleep on the other end of the house). There is a smell but it's not strong at all at 1:32.

Thanks everyone. Now I'll do my research before I buy one of those products.

Hi Cathy:

I am indeed. Can I get some Doodle? Since I already know Doodle is excellent, I would rather have some of that.

Thanks
Bev

Cathy, I got the Doodle. Thanks, I appreciate it. Any reason you don't sell it by the gallon?
