Years ago when I first started baby sitting this macaw I used to come here to get my questions answered and got some good advice. The forum was quite active. Now I come back with a new question and there doesn't seem to be much of any activity at all. Where did everyone go?

Most of us are still here, I think, but it's mostly a new group from 8 years ago when there was a live chat.
The same topics keep coming up, with questions and situations that can be addressed by simple web-searching,
and I guess that some of us are tired.

Well Lee, you asked a question and less than 24 hrs you expected an answer?

I would think this has less to do with freindly people and more with the expectations you are use to.

Some of us have jobs, and our avary to contend with. But usually within 24 hours a decent reply can be expected. It might not be covered with sugar or sound like its coming from Dr Seuss but the knowledge base here at this site is only top notch from what I can gather and generally the best that be obtained on the web.

So if your looking for a "pet forum" this might not be the best resourse, but if you want straight answers from knowledgeable breeders and aviculturists it is worth the wait.

No, I don't expect an answer in 24 hours. Before I even asked my question I noticed that it has been weeks since the last post in some forums. Years ago there were daily postings. It just surprised me, that's all. A lot less traffic than there used to be. I used to get my answer in 24 hours.

BTW I put my question under macaw connection. Before my question the last post was 2 weeks ago.
