Stolen birds

Postby mytielwoody on Mon Jun 01, 2009 7:51 pm

I am trying to help spread the word....I can only imagine what what the bird's owners are going through. Someone on my lovie forum's house was broken into today and they stole all appliances, TV, camera, Xbox, PS3, and three of her birds! Jadens a Goffins cockatoo, Mikas a Quaker (green), and Bailey is a blue IRN
She is located in phoenix arizona. If anyone here is in this area, please keep an eye out for these birds being sold.....I'm not sure if any of them were banded, but I'll find out.

How sad! The appliances and things can be replaced, probably with home owner's or renter's insurance, but the pets are irreplaceable. I am sure they are terribly worried about their well-being and safety. I am not in the area, but I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers.

They might want to keep an eye out on Craigslist for someone trying to make a quick sale? Just an idea.

She has already posted on craigslist......http://phoenix.craigslist.org/cph/pet/1200699675.html She hasn't posted again with any updates on the forum she is on.....I can only imagine.....she must be SO shaken up and SO sad and maybe unable to think straight....I know I would be. The word is being spread...two bird clubs in the area have the info and it will spread among them....it is listed on parrot alert911.....everyone is getting the word out......so hopefully they will be found and she can get her babies back!

This is soooo heartbreaking! I can't imagine how worried she must be about her babies. Is there any more news?

I heard on a bird email group that I belong to that the Too is back home. I hope they get their other birds back as well.
