Euthanasia for a Broken Leg?

Postby Gomez15 on Mon Apr 27, 2009 2:48 am

Yes, you heard correctly.

For those not familiar with my parrot Gomez’s tragic end the day after surgery for a broken leg, details can be found at my website at http://www.VetsGoneBad.com

The vet’s assistant has now posted at http://www.insiderpages.com/b/3710898971 that they offered euthanasia as an alternative to doing surgery on Gomez’s broken leg (scroll down to post by Darlene H).

My response to Darlene’s post can be found at:

I apologize if my posts are tedious, but I completely trusted this highly recommended vet and, if it can happen to me, it can happen to you. I’m assuming it’s not a far leap to assume that most people would want to know about a vet who thinks euthanasia is a good suggestion for a 7 month old Eclectus parrot with a broken leg. There are also other updates on my site regarding recent events.

Thank you for the support I’ve received during this horrible time, which has been made even worse by this vet, and now his employees.

Julie

Julie, I am so sorry for your loss.

Just because someone has a MD after his/her name, doesn't mean they have a halo. There are good and bad in every field. Look at all the malpractice suits. While some are just people looking for a free ride, most are legit.

Gomez paid the ultimate price and that is the most terrible thing of all.
