Here is an easy and cheap filter to use in your birdroom:
Get an 18"-20" box fan and a blue or green furnace filter that is the same size. Put the filter on the side that sucks in the air. Hang a piece of a chain over the handle to lightly hold the filter to the fan. When running the fan, the filter sucks into the fan, and pulls in your bird dust. All you have to do is vacuum the filter daily and keep using the filter till it falls apart.
You can buy a green natural fiber filter that you cut to size too. Costs a little more, but lasts a very long time. This can be hosed off and dried outside, so buy 2 to switch with.
I run 2 fans in my bird room during the day. There is no draft to worry about.
