Looking for a Common Mynah

Looking for a Common Mynah. I live in Maryland and may be able to travel if the location is not too far. If anyone knows of any breeders, etc. near me I would really, really appreciate some help!

They're free in Hawaii, if you can find a nestling that has dropped from the nest.
I don't know how "legal" it is, but that doesn't matter much.
Otherwise, why don't you get a starling or a grackle ? I used to see so many
babies on the ground in the spring in the parks in Maryland...a long time ago.

Most birds are protected, so it is illegal to pick up a fledgling from the ground and take it home. Please don't interrupt the natural process of them learning to fly this way.

There are several softbill breeders out there. You may want to check with the National Finch And Softbill Society to see if there are any legal breeders near you. That way you know the bird is healthy and not taken from the wild.

Avian Biotech offers a breeder search for Mynah birds. Here is a link: http://www.avianbiotech.com/Breeders/Breeders.asp Search all states

My God folks, I can't comprehend a true aviculturalist in 2009, suggesting picking babies off the ground. Blows My Mind ! Please let the wild birdies be just that ; unless you're looking to bring certain disease into your home and collecton...

    Anyhow,
I just came across a pr on the Softbillsforsale site at a good price, and SingingWings (used to) breed them.. check them out and
    Good Luck on the hunt.

I agree Mike. That is why I searched online for some links to people who breed them for the OP as well. I won't even volenteer at the local wildlife rescues because of the chance of bringing in a bug to my flock!

HI, not sure if you found a Mynah or not. Featherlust Farms, in Old Saybrook, CT, has 2!
