incubation yellow-nape eggs

Postby wilikinia on Mon Jun 09, 2008 2:50 pm

Hello everyone,
My yellow-naped amazons laid an egg!! In previous years the eggs seemed infertile and never hatched. I always left them with the parents to incubate. This time I think I will pull them and see what happens. Question is has anyone ever incubated amazon eggs in a Little Giant styrofoam type incubator? They have egg turners, but not sure of how to control the humidity. Also how about those little R-com 3 egg incubators from Brinsea? What humidity would I use on that-temp also if you have any ideas. Thanks alot, Wilikinia

If the eggs are infertile, then there is no use in trying to incubate the eggs yourself.... if this is the case, then you may want to do tests on fertility of the parents or try repairing them....
