breeding Orange Wing Amazons

Postby cedarlane on Fri May 15, 2009 1:24 pm

I have two proven (for previous) pair of Orange Wings. I was told not to let the pairs see each other while they are in the breeding room. I have them on the same side of the room with about a 3 foot space inbetween them. Should I hang a curtain between them or is that wrong information?
Thanks!

They can be right next to eachother, as long as they cannot see one another. When amazons can hear other amazons, it will usually encourage them to breed, but to see one another will encourage the males to fight and defend their mates. They will spend all day defending and not breeding.
