What has everyone been up to?

Postby Mumbles on Fri Feb 27, 2009 6:13 pm

Hasn't been much going on here lately. Winter is also over and I can't wait to be able to take our parrots cages outside and give them a really good cleaning. Our 3 Amazons will be happy too when it warm enough to start enjoying our new screened in porch. We didn't get it done until late last fall so they didn't get to enjoy i much then.

Michigan winters, yuck!

I check every few days. I'm surprised that the convos got so slow. I actually HATE the new board layout. I know it's silly, but it really makes my visit less enjoyable. Seems like the convos really lacked after that...maybe just coincidence.

My baby is doing well. Going to be 6 in july. Can't believe it....she'll be a teenager in no time!! :P

First really nice day here "60" and Mumbles, Chuck, and Papa are out in our new enclosed porch and loving it. Now if I can get hubby to turn the outside water on cage cleaning time.

Mumbles will be 15 in May, Chuck will be 21 in May and Papa will be 51 this December. They are all doing great. Papa is still the biggest cuddle bug in the world and so far his cataract isn't any bigger and his feet still don't move much but he is in no pain which is wonderful. When and if the day comes where he is in pain and it can't be controlled it will break my heart. I never though a parrot could wrap you around their little feet that way he has my heart. I would do anything for that little guy and all our parrots for that matter.

Well back to working in the yard and listening to out three parrots talk and yell up a storm while enjoying outside.

Next Sunday is the Michiana Bird Show in Mishawaka and I can't wait. Every year I spend way to much $$ getting the kids all new toys. Oh well they are all worth it.

Kia seems to be getting more cuddly as she's getting older. I can take it or leave it....love her to pieces either way. I'm sure it has something to do with hormones though...she definitely showing some hen behavior.

Wow 51.... Kia and I will be growing old together...when she's 51 I'll be...hmm....old 8)

I'll be getting our screen house up in a few weeks. Can't wait to take kia outside. She loves it. I"m going to try and build an outside cage for her so she can spread her wings a bit.... We'll have to see how the summer goes.... Glad you are doing well!

Glad Kai is doing well.

I think you could hear our three on the porch yesterday from at least a mile away. They were talking and yell and being silly the whole 4 hours they were outside.

Papa and I are both the same age, over 50 and getting better :D
