: I have a Senegal which was rescued from a house were he was kept covered up and he was found without food or water. He is about 2 and a half and he was there 2 years. I have had him here about a week with my other Senegal and a Hahns Macaw, both hand tame. He will let me touch his beak and I have been getting him out of his cage and putting him on a small play frame where he will sit and watch. I let him see me fuss my other two birds. I wonder what else can help him.

Love, kindness and patience are the best things for him right now. He needs to get to know you and trust that he won't be subjected to the same treatment from which he was rescued. This won't happen overnight but persistence will pay off.
