I have a parakeet, I got him approximately 4 months ago. Reading bird books, I've tried to tame him, but he has only gotten worse. Now I will spend forever getting him out of his cage, dodging his bites, and when I hold him, for absolutely no reason he will attack my finger. To stop him, I shake my finger to throw him off balance...that is what the books tell me to do. How do I get him to stop biting and get tame? I would like to be able to touch him.
