About a month or so ago my budgie seemed to be losing a few feathers then it stopped. Two weeks ago I left the bird alone for 8 days. A neighbor fed and watered it but probably didn't spend much time with it. When I returned it looked about half its normal size and had lost many of its feathers. It acts healthy in every other respect, eats well, flies around and talks. Is moulting normal for this time of year or did it lose its feathers out of loneliness or could there be some other cause? thanks, Mike
