I just bought an 8 month old green cheek conure 2 days ago.I was told he has not been handled alot recently.He was friendly at the store with me,and the people who worked there.When I brought him home he started acting like a different bird !I was bitten 4 times so hard I couldn't believe the pain,even had my skin broken.He ate out of my hand today.Most the time he runs away or climbs all over the cage to get away instead of stepping up.He did let me pet him & pick him up today with a few smaller bites.I blew on him lightly to get him to stop,it worked but hes still acting shy.Should I give him more time?Will this pass?I'm really worried I made a mistake with buying an older bird.He seems happy though ,he played all day,and ate a ton of food.Will he warm up to me?Any information would be greatly appreciated.Will you please email it to me ?Thank you.
